November 2018 - At Rotocoat, safety is of paramount importance. A moment of inattention can be fatal. Safety is a relative concept, since nothing is without danger under all circumstances. Certainly not in an environment where machines and means of transport are being used constantly. That is why it is important to continuously pay attention to safety on the work floor and to create a culture in which people are aware of dangers and act accordingly.
In order to improve the way in which employees of Rotocoat handle safety, the LMRA Last Minute Risk Assessment has been introduced:
Stop before you begin.
Look around you: are there dangers?
Think carefully about the risks.
Assess the risks.
Manage the risks: take measures.
Start your work safely.
Rotocoat applies the following three basic principles:
Take no risks
Safety in the workplace is paramount. Think before you start work and use the LMRA.
If one is at work, one must be able to move around and have enough space to step away if something unexpected happens.
The workplace must be tidy and clean. Nobody wants to work in a mess. Moreover, one has no overview and unsafe situations can arise.
Call to account
If one wants to work safely, one must dare to call each other and visitors to account.
